Where is Budug Asu?
Budug Asu is located in Lawang with access from Petung Wulung, Toyomarto, Singosari sub-district, Malang district, East Java, on the slopes of Mount Arjuno. The entrance is through Kebun Teh Wonosari (Wonosari Tea Plantation), a well-known tourist site in Lawang. From there, you can hike or rent a trail bike to reach the Budug Asu peak.
Best Time to Visit
Dry season, from May to October, is the ideal time to visit Budug Asu. During this period, trails are less slippery, skies are clear, and views from the top are more breathtaking. Avoid the rainy season as the path can become muddy and more difficult to traverse.
